The Multi Select Answer will give the user the possibility to choose some or all of several options.
Options
Each option has a label, points, and an optional key. (See Single Select Answer)
Exclusive
In addition, it is possible to mark one or more options as exclusive. An exclusive option can only be selected when no other options are selected. If an exclusive option is selected, other options cannot be in a selected state. This way, you can have a mandatory answer marked as answered but not fulfilled. Exclusive options are visually different to indicate the difference.
Note: When a new Multi Select Answer element is created, two default options and an option to mark the question as not answered (exclusive option) will be created.
Limiting
You can influence/limit how many options can be selected by the user and also how many options have to be selected. When the answer is mandatory, the minimum selected options cannot be below 1. When the answer is optional, the minimum of selected items can only be 0.
In addition, it is possible to limit the maximum amount of points that can be given with this answer. The result will use this points if the sum of all selected option points exceeds the limitation.
Visualisation
There are two different visualisation options available, inline horizontal and inline vertical. In both cases, the options are placed in the first area of a question.
When placing the options horizontally, the options will fill up horizontally but will move span over multiple lines when the amount of options exceeds the available space.
You can find more information about the mandatory and visible state in the Answers page.
