For distribution of an exam to devices using a server, you have to first configure a server in the Project Configuration.

The online distribution is a paid feature. Please contact Sales to get a quote.

In the Distribution area of the Devices section, you can see a list of all devices connected to the server configured in your project to use these in the exam.

Connect a Device

To connect a new device, scan the QR Code shown in the side panel with Valuatic Touch.

A device is not automatically part of an exam when it is connected to the server but has to be assigned to an exam. This allows you to run multiple exams in parallel on the same server.

Note: The device list will refresh automatically every minute, but you can manually refresh the device list as well.

Add a Device to an Exam

Once a device is listed, you can add (+) it to your exam if it is not already added to another exam. When you remove a device from the exam, the device will still stay connected to the server and can also be used by a different exam project.

The App column shows if Valuatic Touch is open or closed on the device.
The Exam column shows to which exam a device is assigned.
The Status of a device lets you know what you can do with the device.

  • Available: The device can be added to the exam.
  • Unavailable: The device is either already in use by another exam, is not connected to the server anymore, or runs a different version of Valuatic.
  • Up to Date: The exam version on the device matches the current version of the project.
  • Needs Update: Indicates the exam version on the device is outdated and needs to be updated.
  • Updating: An update has been sent to the device but has not yet been processed by the device.

The App Version column shows the current Valuatic Studio version that the device is using. Make sure to keep all devices on the most recent version to use all functionalities.

In the action bar, you can add/assign (+) a selected device to your exam, remove (-) it from the exam, or update (↹) it after a new exam version is created.

Note: At the moment, it is not possible to completely remove a device from the server.
You need to manually disconnect the device in the Settings of Valuatic Touch.
